SUMMARY:Dreaming the Healer...
DESCRIPTION:Shamanic Practitioner Training 2026\n\n\n\nDuring the quest to become a healer a profound remembering takes place\, a remembering of a time when ancestors were revered\, when communities were oneness\, where souls understood the sound of the forest and communed with the cosmos via the wind. Where separation between those who lived\, those who were myth and those who existed beyond this world had not been dreamed of yet.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe interstice\, the in-between\, the ether\, the void\, across the veil or into the other dimensions\, are places we rarely tread anymore\, but once we begin this path we step ever closer to a truth… \n\n\n\nThe path to healer is not for the faint hearted\, however on this path of self-discovery you begin to explore the essence of your true-self\, the ancient wisdom your soul holds and the gift of healing you have… your ancestors are waiting for you to hear their call… \n\n\n\nWhat to expect while walking this path… \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA set of nine components (x3 long weekends per year) to enable you to become fully conversed in the way of the shaman\, becoming a certified shamanic practitioner able to undertake complex divination\, and healings for others. You will have theoretical and practical instruction\, homework to complete\, a personal tutor assigned to you to help you through your client case studies\, online ‘catch up sessions’ and a close knit supportive ‘clan’ to work alongside. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nComponents will cover subjects such as \n\n\n\nSpirit world exploration and connection\, merging\, channelling\, journeying with ancestors\, spirits and guides. Spiritual disease theory\, diagnostic journeys\, power loss and retrieval\, object intrusion and extraction\, sacred prescriptions\, power animals\, protective allies and healing guides. \n\n\n\nPlant medicine work is integrated throughout\, Pilgrimages\, dismemberments\, near death experiences\, lost souls\, soul thieves\, soul (essence) retrieval\, remote healing and integration techniques. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMore advance techniques include; Middle world work\, stuck souls\, inter worlds\, shapeshifting\, psycho-pomp\, sorcery and curses\, poison darts\, spells\, hexes\, compassionate transcendence\, end of life work\, invisibility clauses and gatekeepers. Spirit possession\, past life bleeds\, sovereignty and true selves are fully explored and non transcended entities\, extra-terrestrial life\, nature spirits and spirits of nature are met.  \n\n\n\nWhat is Contemporary Core Shamanism\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCore Shamanism consists of the ‘bare bones’ of shamanic techniques practiced in communities for thousands of years\, worldwide.  \n\n\n\nDr Michael Harner\, Anthropologist and founder of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and author of many publications\, after studying various shamans from many cultures\, came to understand that the core practices of Shamanic healing are not bound to any specific cultural group or perspective\, rather\, the foundations/skeleton of these practices were as similar throughout humanity as are our physical skeletons. Once cultural and societal specifics are stripped away\, the ‘bare bones’\, the ‘core’ practice is universal in nature.  As well as addressing concerns of cultural re-appropriation\, this finding goes some way towards proving the universal ‘oneness’ of humanity and the quantum connection of ‘all’ as existing outside of time and space in non-ordinary reality\, within one spiritual\, albeit infinite realm. \n\n\n\nSince the West overwhelmingly lost its shamanic knowledge due to persecution and religious oppression\, this Core Shamanic practice is a great gift to have been given from which we as westerners can find our way back to our rightful spiritual heritage.  \n\n\n\nRoots to the Moon shamanic training combines Core Shamanic practice with contemporary spiritual work derived from a variety of tutorial spirit guides\, Celtic and European remembrances and ancestral instruction. \n\n\n\nWhere will the training take place?\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis is an in person residential course held in the grounds of Roots to the Moon. Roots to the Moon is a 27 acre holistic smallholding nestled in the heart of the ancient woodland valleys of the High Weald. As a certified organic and biodynamic farm with a deep respect for animism and sentience of all beings\, we aim to operate a ‘closed loop’ holistic system where we create our own living composts for growing and treat our farm animals with plants\, homeopathy and herbs. We operate rotational grazing for pasture and soil health\, while building biodiversity to encourage wildlife. We have a small Sussex variety apple orchard and a 4 acre woodland. Together we aim for a holistic\, balanced and thriving mini ecosystem working in harmonious reciprocity with the wildlife and natural environment\, from which we can all nurture and grow.  As a centre for Shamanic practice we also offer healing retreats\, Journey Circles\, Full moon Fire Ceremonies and Shamanic Training. \n\n\n\nWho will be teaching you…\n\n\n\nDr Joanna Gore\n\n\n\nJoanna is a creator of spaces\, for community and investigation\, working with animals\, plants and herbs she is an educator of animism\, holistic farming\, biodynamics and shamanic practices.  Working with the spirits of the land and the herbs while communing with the ancestors\, she walks with spirit as a seer into the other worlds\, a communicator of messages and conduit for healing. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoanna has treated herself with herbs and homeopathy since she had a diagnosis of an auto-immune nature at age 19. She attended a year long Sensory Herbal course with the Seed Sistas in 2013 and is currently studying Naturopathic Herbalism with The Healing Garden. As well as the life she leads beyond the veil the life on a farm\, balances grounding in the natural world of plants and animals. She works freelance for the Biodynamic Association\, Land worker’s Alliance and Pasture for Life where she spends time with a diverse community dedicated to natural farming and conservation where she absorbs a lively nature driven debate\, from this mix of spiritual healing and farming ‘Roots to the Moon’ was born. \n\n\n\nAs a child Joanna experienced other-world journeying and astral dreams\, her childhood bed was pushed up against a white woodchipped wallpapered wall\, lying facing this wall\, she used to press her nose against the wall until\, awake\, she felt it dissolve and she fell through into a world of strange adventures\, where flying was her mode of transport and castles and wild animals lived. Following her lifelong interest in the metaphysics and esoteric practices ranging from Astral projection/out of body\, Lucid dreaming\, Spiritual healing\, Reiki\, Tantra\, Quantum phenomena\, Herbalism and Plant medicine\, and after a soul searching trip to Peru\, in 2015 she embarked upon training in shamanism. Joanna has worked with Shipibo and Quero Shamans in the Andes\, Mayan Shamans in Guatemala\, with John Perkins\, Simon Buxton\, The Isle of Avalon\, the Northern Drum and undertook a sustained five year training in Core\, Contemporary and Cross Cultural shamanism with the ‘The Sacred Trust’ under Richard Wolfstrome where she met and works closely with her shamanic clan. Joanna is on a lifelong pilgrimage to reconnect to aspects of her authentic traditional spiritual practices embedded within Celtic\, Druid and Irish ancestral roots \n\n\n\nSuzanne Roland-Jones\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nSuzanne has been involved in the healing arts since 1990\, working with spirit for her own development and as a healer for her clients\, she has led a variety of healing groups and trained others more specifically in shamanism since 2000. Her work originates from a place of deep compassion\, weaving through threads of grace and a splash of directness. Simplicity and humour play a large part in her relationship with the spirits and her practice. Along with her deep connection and immense respect for the natural world she brings clarity\, grounded wisdom and warmth to the training at Roots to the Moon. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMembers of the Path or Heart Clan\n\n\n\nWe are delighted to announce that members of the Path of the Heart Clan\, having trained with the Sacred Trust for five years and many more years of deep eclectic spiritual experience will be supervising our students through one-to one interaction. \n\n\n\nPlaces are strictly limited to 14 students \n\n\n\nExpress your interest in this exciting opportunity by the ‘tickets’ below and registering your interest with us\, we will send you details on how to apply to be a member of this 2026 Clan…  \n\n\n\n\nRegister Your Interest HERE and we will get back to you
