SUMMARY:A Pilgrimage to the Herbs - Mugwort Dieta - x 6 weeks  April New Moon to May New Moon
DESCRIPTION:(2 Hours per week) 6.30pm – 8.30pm \n\n\n\n27th April ( evening between the New Moon of April to the New Moon of May. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA ‘Dieta’ is a pilgrimage to a plant\, a contract between a student and a plant\, an agreement to learn about each other\, to meet in spirit\, in the world of non-ordinary reality\, between\, beyond and betwixt the mist of the veil. Although we ingest the plant to commune with her\, the communication is beyond the physical\, it is an emotional\, an intellectual\, a sentient\, an etheric telepathic all encompassing meeting. A dieta is a sacred personal appointment between the two of you and as such must be treated with love\, compassion\, honesty and authenticity. Plant spirits are not transcended compassionate beings and so need to be treated with reverence and respect. Mugwort is the first plant we will meet\, she will help us access all the others we will meet throughout the years. The more we put into this relationship\, the stronger it will be\, the more profound experience we will have\, the more satisfaction we will gain\, the more love and longevity we will enjoy. \n\n\n\nThroughout European history\, Mugwort (Artemesia vulgararis) ruled by Venus and strongly associated with the moon\, was known as a witch’s herb\, a stirrer of visions and an opener of portals\, she would be laid at the door of witches\, healers and midwives to heighten power and ward of the negative energies of ‘evil’ spirits. When ingested she heightens our extrasensory perception and opens the gateway for visionary dreaming\, she is believed to have a strong connection to the spirit world and can help strengthen shamanic journeying\, advance our seer-ship and divinatory skills. She is an ancient magical herb used by all of our ancestors\, she is a part of our history\, she is in our blood\, she is one of us. \n\n\n\nWorking with plant spirits as allies or as medicines is not for the faint hearted\, it is for the brave seekers who wish to move beyond the realms of ordinary physical life and into the unfamiliar and the unknowns. SUMMARY:Creating and Birthing your Own Shamanic Drum - March 22nd 9am-6pm
DESCRIPTION:In this day long process\, you will create your own sacred shamanic drum\, in ceremony and while honouring the trees and animals from where the materials came. It will be carefully crafted from wood and deer skin. We will be taking a ceremonial tea to help us connect\, calling in the spirit of deer\, the spirit of the trees and the spirit of the land around us to ask for their help in bringing the power of dream and journeying into our drums. We will be birthing our drum in ceremony to the spring equinox as the light begins to return and the fire burns in readiness\, the deer emerge from the forests and trees waken for what is to come. \n\n\n\nThe full price of this workshop is £350\, this is for a 16″ or smaller drum\, if you would like a smaller or larger drum you can decide at a later point (I will contact you) there may be an additional charge for a larger drum. The summer project was a pilot funded by FiPL\, we have learned and laughed together\, we have grown\, weeded (a lot) and connected. DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome Niamh Murray in the collaborative creation of a very special day retreat with Joanna at Roots to the Moon. This unique day will welcome the elemental beings of Earth\, Fire\, Air and Water to come and help us work closely with the spirits of plants and share their ancient wisdom. \n\n\n\nNiamh is a multi- disciplinary artist\, educator and Irish spiritual practitioner based in London. She works within nature\, the elements and alongside the ancestors as ‘seer-er’ of ‘other-worlds’\, whilst teaching workshops in the ‘Art of Ogham’ – an ancient Irish divination practice.  \n\n\n\nOur planet Earth is made up of the four elements – Earth\, Air\, Water\, Fire we too are made up of these elements\, as are all other ethereal beings. It is through remembering the ‘elemental body’ of ourselves that we remember our relationship with our elemental kin and deepen our relationship with the mother ‘Earth’. \n\n\n\nIn this special ceremony we lead you on a journey dedicated to the elemental kingdom to help you see\, hear\, sing\, listen\, taste or feel your way through and into the supersensible world. The techniques we use will help you in perceiving and communicating with the elemental self (inner world) and the greater vessel (outer world) empowering you to heal and grow.  \n\n\n\nWe will work closely with the plants and share their ancient wisdom\, focusing in on the spirit of Mugwort (woman of the woods) we hope she will provide a bridge for us to delve deeply and authentically into the other worlds. \n\n\n\nWe will create a bio- dynamic (tonic) which will hold our prayer for the earth and act as a messenger to the elementals speaking our intentions. We will prepare the tonic together and make petitions to the elemental kingdoms\, to the air\, the fire\, the water and the earth. \n\n\n\nBy creating ceremony on the land\, we will raise our earth consciousness enabling our communication with these beings and creating the perfect intention for healing\, nourishment and restoring the balance we so desperately seek.     \n\n\n\nOn the September Equinox\, we often experience a perfect equilibrium between our external experiences and our inner spiritual journey. When you connect with your ancestors and spirit guides they can help you find the answers: \n\n\n\nWhat is my life’s purpose?What does my true path look like?Which direction should I take re XXX now?Is there something I need to change? How do I know?What could I bring into my life to truly flourish?What wastes my energy and what brings me vitality and lifeforce?How do I heal my wounds and move forward?How are my guides? Can I access them? \n\n\n\nThis Journey Circle is for helping us to help ourselves\, we can gain valuable support from the Spirit world\, from Source our spirit guides and our ancestors that will help us move forward in ways we never dreamed of ourselves\, find out how to deepen this process and integrate it into your life. How to understand what we really want/need and how to heal the blockages that prevent us from doing so. \n\n\n\nCome\, sit in circle with us\, deeply connect with your spirit community\, they are calling you\, discover your true self\, take your true path\, heal your wounds and begin to follow your life’s purpose.

SUMMARY:Community Garden Mon 8th July
DESCRIPTION:We would love you to come and join our community garden group\, it will be available most Saturdays and Mondays of the season between 10-4pm. BOOKING ALWAYS ON LINE to let us know you are coming. \n\n\n\nBring a packed lunch\, weather dependent clothes\, a water bottle etc. There are a few days we aren’t open so please always check and book online to avoid disappointment. If you arrive and it is your first time\, please ask Joanna or Victoria for an induction on the Do’s and Don’ts\, the welly wash\, hand washing facilities etc as this is important for everyone’s safety and our farm biosecurity. \n\n\n\nJoanna will be giving a Power point presentation on an introduction/overview to Biodynamics day TBC. We will have days where we stir and apply Biodynamic preps together\, make Biodynamic teas and follow a Biodynamic Calendar\, some days will simply be planting\, weeding and general veg gardening. Above all else\, enjoy your time getting close to nature here\, this is very special enlivened land\, we hope you can respect it and gain as much nourishment from it as we do. \n\n\n\nSome members will also be baking cake! so you don’t want to miss that either! \n\n\n\nPlease note\, we are not paid a lot for our time and many days are unpaid for us\, we don’t have funding for any core costs such as management\, admin\, consumables\, composts\, woodchip\, land\, infrastructure\, refreshments\, utilities etc\, so please bear this in mind. You are asked to bring a small cash contribution towards coffee/teas/biscuits.  \n\n\n\nThis is a pilot project to see how it goes and what is possible for the future\, this is also our home and a working farm\, so please do not bring dogs with you as we have two of our own and also have livestock.
